Does the statistics take in account that people change political affiliation over time? People tend to lean left when they are young (and generally poorer) only to turn more concervitive when older and wanting to keep the fruits of their labor. I'm right libertarian and if I'm reading the same statistic as you are they tend to have an even higher intelligence than democrats. Not to despute the article but having an art bachelors degree vs just being a electrician that went to technical school doesnt desplay a difference in inteligence.
