Do you think that the founding fathers didnt intend on gun technology advancing?! During the time volley guns were a thing a weapon that could shoot multiple rounds it was only logical that eventually you would have guns firing multiple times and being able to reload in 2 seconds.
Assault weapons are just playing into peoples fear it's just a gun. Not an assault weapon yes you can assault someone with a gun but so can a hammer or even car but we dont call them assault hammers. It's just a tool its how one uses it determines the purpose of the gun. You can assault someone with a gun but you can also defend someone with it.
I'm still pro gun after those two shootings

Volley guns weren't present, nor available, in the 13 colonies, in 1791 ...when the 2nd Amendment was ratified.... NICE TRY!
