If you don't want to be all that different, why would you have a beard where most are clean shaven? THAT'S an easy fix.
There may be things you can't change, like your birth defect, but if you find that you are not accepted because of things you do or say; those you can change. Otherwise, accept who you are and get on with your life. After school, the people you'll be associating with will be much more of your choosing, rather than the hodgepodge of school mates.
