Yeah, 33 certainly isn't middle aged.

To some people (especially the demographic watching YouTube) 33 is old as hell.

The life expectancy in the US is 78.6 years. That makes middle age to be around 39.3 years old. So 33 is not far off of being middle aged.

If the American life expectancy is 78 then middle aged would be 39. Calling 33 middle aged is jumping the gun a bit.

Yeah but that's what happens when YouTube serves the crazy SJWs of the progressives. Shane dawson on the other hand deserves to be removed and prosecuted.

He was recorded on a podcast defending pedophilia as a “fetish” as well as old videos surfacing of him in blackface. Apparently he is also too lazy to get up to go to the loo in the night so just lies in bed and urinates into a bottle which he then leaves on his nightstand for his fiancé to see.

          • I think it has something to do with sex, like being a predator or groomer

But Jeffree Star fed people info about it so there's some drama going on

            But I don't really know

Except it wasn't the SJWs. She dug up her own past and "canceled" herself. No one was talking about her.

It was the SJWs. The mindset they try to brainwash people with worked on Jenna so she dug up a bunch of really petty stuff and called herself a monster who deserved to be punished.

God it's like pyramid head from the silent hill series. Actually that's a perfect metaphor for SJW: in a nutshell compelled to preach because they have a pyramid head trailing behind instead of manning up and taking responsibility for only their actions.

Middle aged?! Isn't she in her early 30s?!

Seriously, why is it so trendy to hate on people older than you? It's like every internet idiot thinks if you're over 25, you're a boomer and have no say in any matter... WTF?!

I agree, it's so stupid. I also think the trend of saying "ok boomer" is embarrassingly dumb just because it's such a pathetic excuse for a "comeback". It's basically what spoiled brats say when they're losing an argument with someone older than them, but don't want to lose face. It's basically the 2020 version of "talk to the hand", only that was primarily used by grade schoolers IIRC. I also say this as someone who is 25, lol.

I don't even get the hatred towards baby boomers, anyway. Some of the best people I know are from that generation and having a conversation with them is a breath of fresh air compared to trying to talk to some of these immature 20-somethings with major attitude problems, insecurity issues, and who act like insufferable know-it-alls and constantly have to spout off and thump their chests.

I'm gen Z and I dont get the hate for the boomers. They were a large generation so for that very reason they deserve hate? I mean for millenials theres a reason why they are vilified for being a baby.

Oh the boomers took our wealth! Boomers will eventually die of old age you morons. That money isnt gone forever just displaced to serve those who earned it.

Exactly! A lot of young people have problems with victimhood and whining about everything rather than doing anything to make their lives better (due to their beliefs that it's always somebody else's fault and that whining and virtue signaling on Facebook actually does any good).

I live in an upper class family. I have pretty much no skills to allow me to get through a 4 year university. Best I can do is an associate's degree at this point. Who do I blame for this? Myself. Because it's all on me to be successful I'm not blaming anyone besides myself. I just have the wrong set of skills to be rich in today's world, which I am not ruining my existence over that's life and I'm going to play my hand to the best of my ability.

Both taking accountability and making the best of what you have already put you above a good chunk of people! I never succeeded in college either, but the good news is that college is not a requirement (nor a guarantee) to succeed in life.

I definitely disagree that she's middle aged, lol. To me, 33 is still very much a spring chicken.

Anyway, I never really watched her, but think this cancel culture going on is pretty stupid. I feel that people are reaching for something to be upset about if they have to dig back into someone's social media activity from a decade ago to find anything even slightly controversial that was A) not even considered offensive or controversial at the time, and/or B) posted when the person was young and dumb (obviously if the post is completely out of line it doesn't matter, but I highly doubt that is the case with her from what I've heard).

But honestly, YouTube is becoming a joke anyway because they're too obsessed with making everything "kid friendly" and censoring/taking down everything because parents these days want tablets and the Internet to parent their kids for them, yet complain about what they see (EXACTLY why you don't allow your children unsupervised Internet access, duh). You'd think these parents would have the sense to realize that the Internet can be a very inappropriate place for kids and have their kids watch a children's TV channel instead, but common sense isn't so common anymore and so many parents don't know how to actually parent other than shoving a tablet in their kids' faces as if it's a pacifier any time they get sick of them. But, I digress. I just can't wait for another video platform that doesn't cater to entitled parents and crazed SJWs to come along and blow YouTube out of the water.

Oh, and by the way, why is it that people are going after YouTubers over the dumbest things and YouTube is censoring and taking things down for no reason, yet Onision and similar psychotics are still allowed on there and have crazy fanboys/girls who defend them no matter what?

Political correctness is the trend now. Somehow taking down videos and changing brand names of things is supposed to distract everyone from the fact that zero actual police reform is happening.

I agree, and it's so stupid.

I also found it quite amusing when the Dixie Chicks and Lady Antebellum announced they were changing their names. I admittedly don't follow country music, but hasn't it been like at least 10 years (probably closer to 15 or 20 for the Dixie Chicks) since either of those bands were relevant? Seems more like a publicity stunt geared towards trying to earn their way back into the spotlight with the "woke" crowd to me. I'm sure the stuff with Land O' Lakes, Aunt Jemima, and Uncle Ben was more of a sales pitch than anything as well.

Yeah its amazing how people think this is all a noble cause and not a marketing ploy for things that have controversial names that nobody cares about.

Meanwhile the US legal system is still completely dicked but we dont wanna talk about the actual problem...

I was devastated after her apology video. She was the first YouTuber I ever subscribed to. I watched her videos every Wednesday/Thursday for years. I grew up with Jenna almost like she was my big sister. Losing her indefinitely broke my heart. I cried about it all day when it happened.

She was better in her younger days, sure she was loose but she allowed everyone a fair chance to play. Now it's only reserved for truely terrible people or people pandering so far left that its beyond even moderate progressive views.

She will eventually go broke and then try to make a comeback.

Has-beens do that all the time.

Sometimes businesses "close" in an attempt to rekindle attention. Kind of like how furniture stores are "going out of business" from the day they open or how bands keep doing "Farewell" tours. I think The Eagles did that for the entire span of the 80's.

On youtube though, there are so many channels competing for attention. Most of the big ones put out complete crap, it is amazing how they make a living off it.
