OMG SOMETHING GOOD FOR ONCE! Tomorrow is our one year anniversary and I plan to propose to him. I know that there's a stereotype against this. However I'm more masculine (serious most of the time) and my boyfriend is more feminine (playful and more affectionate).
Do you mind telling us how old you are? 18-25, that sort of bracket?
You said that "I'm proposing not to rush the wedding, but as a promise of my loyalty" and that's awesome! Stick to that!! No need to actually have the wedding for at least another year or two - the longer you wait, the better it'll be.
Plus, it's great that you're asking him. I'm surprised that even in 2018 it still gets mentioned sometimes about whether it's cool for women to propose. Course it is!!

You can easily promise your loyalty with a Promise ring or something. Marriage on the other hand is joining your assets by law. That means all his debt, or future debts, as well as anything you get yourself into and more are all joined. Marriage shouldn't be like a quinceanera, celebrating a milestone of something, no. It's a serious partnership that started and survives off of genuine love, understanding, and acceptance of who you are with that took years to build.
I understand you two are so much alike omg, but enjoy it. Bask in the love for a while before you tie the knot. It's not a bad idea to want to get married, but there's no rush.
You're 100% right. Boyfriend and I been together for years and just recently started living together 9 months ago. We both know that when we do get married (saving up for a house first), that it'll be no different other than me helping him pay off his student loans. xD

I will give an example. My girlfriend was pissed of, piiiissseeed off at me last year. She was being such a bitch I was ready to leave. Finally I asked her what the fuck is wrong with you.
Get this, I was ready to leave the relationship I love over toilet paper. TOILET PAPER. Seems I always put it on backwards and it completely sends her off.
So make sure you know what you are getting into, I guess is the moral of the story.

Yes we both have talked about those topics a lot. We started around 4 months. We talk about it almost every day. We both know that marriage can bring tough times. We face tough times together. There's quirks that annoy me, but I love him regardless. Besides, we can be engaged without rushing into the wedding.
