I'm on diet but...

My goal is not just to be skinny, I would like to shape a little bit my lower body. Geneticly I got huge butt and fat legs, if I work on that area (squats and all these other exerices ) will I grow , or get bulked ? Cause that's not my goal.. I just want my legs and butt look better, but not to grow. I also try to walk one hour a day. Ps, if you recommend something else to shape my lower body, tell me. Cause just losing weight won't lead me to my goal (I also got cellulite)

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Working specific areas will get you toned, if there's still fat overtop of said muscle it may look like you're bulking up but as you lose weight that would change.

Toning exercises are good, but it's good to mix with cardio. That will help lose the fat and is just great for your health in general.

That said, a warning... cellulite is often difficult to get rid of and not simply a result of weight gain, but rather something to do with the flexibility of your skin. Losing the weight may not get rid of the cellulite, but that's okay! Plenty of fit people do have cellulite, it's just a part of aging.

There's no need to worry about gaining grotesque amounts of muscle mass. That takes years to do, especially in an already muscular area like the thighs and butt.

I heard running up stairs backwards (not kidding) is a good way to tone the butt and thighs. Don't hurt yourself though.
