I'm okay knowing I won't be friends with them later on

  • Fkn A man. So what if she's going to have a "standard" or "below par" life? Are you high and mighty enough not to be her friend because of that?

You suck and don't deserve to have friends at all.

    • It's not that her life is going to be "below par," it's just that we're going to be very different. She's been raised with very conservative, modest values and her mom is a part-time teacher, when she isn't home cooking and cleaning. And my friend admits she'll probably do the same. But what's the point in being friends with her then if I want to be a doctor or an engineer? We just wouldn't have anything in common.

      • your work =//= you. You will have nothing in common if everything that is included in you, is your work.
