I love fire. However, people keep setting moor fires here which is devastating to wildlife. I love controlled fire.
Certainly. I use my fire pit all the time and just sit and stare at the flames. Lovely.
It is beautiful both because of its appearance and the fact it’s all-consuming.
I'm quite obsessed with fire at the moment because my community and many others are either burning or in danger from bushfires.
I agree fire is beautiful when it's a small safe fire, but I don't find bushfires at all beautiful. Apart from being terrifying and destructive of life and property, wildlife perish and forests are devastated.
Oh God, I hate forest fires! It's really so sad. I think I'd rather deal with flood than fire. Not that floods can't be terrifying, cause they can.
The actual fire threat has abated quite a bit, but there's heaps of smoke around which means that with emphysema I can't go outside without a smoke mask. I can't open my windows either, damn it. Hoping for some rain (maybe Tuesday if we're lucky) or good wind to disperse the smoke.
This afternoon I saw heaps of people riding bikes (including children), walking, running & jogging and pushing little babies around in prams with little kids walking too. Don't these morons realise how bad wood smoke is for everyone's lungs?
I vaguely remember that there would be fires from time to time in the wilderness of Nevada. I've never been a fan of the dry heat. I'm pretty sure I'm more like a frog than a lizard.
When I first moved to Vegas I used to want to go to Scotland, because I wanted to be somewhere cold, and humid. I used to get bronchitis at least once every year when I lived in Las Vegas. I got bronchitis once when I was in Houston, Texas, and now that I'm in Dover, Delaware I haven't gotten it once since I've been here. I do miss Houston, Texas though.
