  • Normal psychological phenomenon. Beautiful people are percieved as having better social traits...whether or not that is true is another matter. As for clothes, to some extent some people define themselves through the style of clothes that they wear. For instance, people who dress like hipsters are more likely to make friends with hipsters simply because their clothes reflect other interests. Their might also be a classist element to this thing of yours...
    Personally I do find myself disliking people who are not attractive physically. I justify disliking them for the clothes they wear, way they smell etc. etc. as being a sign od self-direspect or disprespect for others (WE HAVE TO LOOK AT YOU). Disliking people because they are ugly is a lot slimier though I expect it had a lot to do with not wanting to feel ugly yourself or be percieved by third parties as somehow "inferior."
