I'm not good in fact battle

Hi, so here I'm just have this one problem. I think most people was good at it except me. The problem is Idk how to counter fact that people give to me. For example, I and my friend was talking about many topics: sport, lifestyle, games etc but suddenly when we were talking I gave a wrong or sensitive statement about a topic (but sometimes I'm not wrong and he just want to win) to him. Then he counter it back with his long and good-to-be-true facts about the topic. Me? I'm not be able to counter it back because I'm not good at it. Sometimes he got wrong and when I try to correct him he throw a bunch of facts to me. I think most American are good in fact war right? So any tips or trick for me to counter thing like this

ps: sometimes its not my friend. Its can be anything: internet forums, youtube comments, social media etc y'know it...

No one can be an expert on everything. When confronted with a "fact battler" and they are on about something you know little about you can ask to change the subject or you can admit you don't know a lot about what is being discussed and ask they tell you more about it as a learning experience.

I wouldn't bother arguing or discussing things with someone who only cares about being right.

I'm always right. I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken. 😁

No im not from the USA.

These arguments and "debates" are just a waste of our precious time. Its best to withdraw if our opponent is an idiot or a troll.
