While I'm all for checking out opposing views to better understand what drives others, and gain deeper insight into my own biases, methinks pretending to agree with said opposing views is a step too far. Unless you're an actor, or a sociopath.
You don't get it. It's funny to hear these people go on about these ridiculous stereotypes, and feeling like you're talking to like minded people causes the things they say to be so overblown and crazy that its hilarious.
The more we think, say, do something the more deeply ingrained it becomes in our brains. You're basically training them to be even more ignorant.
It's not funny when you look about the world with adult eyes recognizing the incalculable psycho-social and economic damage/instability propagated by racist views.
