My father introduced his new girlfriend to me some months ago. She had a really beautiful daughter, just about my age, the same gender, the same tastes, we immediatly became very close. Too close. I don't really realized when it happened, but suddenly we were in love with each other, it went way too fast. And it left us in a really akward situation. One day, our parents found out, and her mother told her that she didn't agreed at all. I understoon, and I still do, but even like that, with the fact that our relationship is forbidden, I'm still holding on to it. Is it normal that I am so stubborn about it? Is this whole situation normal in someone's life? What would you do about it?

    .... lesbian? I find nothing wrong with it at all and I find it completely unfair that your parents forbade it because that is like teasing a dog with a bone and not giving it to him. its perfectly fine if you are in love with your step but your parents are wrong to forbid it

    It's uncommon, but you're not weird. you just happen to be in love with someone you feel close to. there's nothing wrong about it. it may be awkward to your dad and her mother, maybe because they'd want you all to be a family if they decide to make the next move and get married. do you think her mother was more opposed to the fact that you're both girls or the fact that you don't act like siblings?
