I'm bi too and I'm in basically the same situation except that her boyfriend isn't mean but he does live in another state(I'm fine with her being with him it's just that they've never met face to face). I agree with TehPurpleOne that you should defend her, call him out, show her what's he's doing, and that when she gives up on him move in. When he's gone don't be too obvious- she may not feel the same way about you. Just be there for her and don't rush it. Try to find out how she feels. Remember be very careful about this situation- don't talk badly about him until they're over, don't rush anything, and of course be respectful of her and how she feels.
