Its totally normal! I felt the same way about my friend at High School. Funny thing is that I was planning to tell him how I felt (he was still in the closet at the moment), and he told me that he had something to tell me (I was hoping that he'd say he liked me too), so we had a classic "No you go first moment". I was adamant that he go first and he told me that he's gay. That didn't mean I stopped crushing on him immediately, but I got over it eventually. I still adore him, but not in the same way. You'll probably start moving in different circles and date other people. You'll be ok- Trust me.
