When you decide that females are not put on this earth just for you to have sex with it will become easier. We are people not just three holes. ;)

i am a sex addict and attended a 12 step program years ago and it was very helpful. sex addiction consumed my life, it almost caused a divorce and getting fired. You can see a psychiatrist that specializes in addiction that can prescribe medication to lower your libido. i'm now living a good life! Lots of people are ignorant about this kind of thing, i saw the stupid responces you got, lol!

Being addicted to porn and a habitual masturbator is a real thing and might I add an extremely difficult habit to break!

I know have been there and am still a "pornaholic", I am still in a constant battle with myself to stop masturbating...I have empathy for you!

I feel your pain. Recovering porn addict here.

If it's starting to take over your life, it's a real problem. But step one is figuring that out, so that's good. What's next is learning to keep the impulses in check and to fill in these desires with something else. Is there some thought or need that usually drives you to thinking about sex, or just fantasizing about it?

Listen, can we send private messages on this site? I can be a lot more helpful but I'm kinda shy, I hope you understand why. If you're on reddit, ImAnOvenmittPuppet. Please send me a PM, I'll share everything I can, and I have questions that will help you figure it out yourself, I just don't want to broadcast this to the entire internet, ya know?

I'll share some resources tho I would still like to chat.

I'm going to assume porn is involved, but even if you're one of the rare few who haven't gotten hooked, the exact same brain chemistry is taking effect. To your instincts, porn and real sex are the exact same thing. Porn really messes up your sexual expectations (sexpectations?) and it can take years to get back to... factory settings.

          Sites:
          YourBrainOnPorn.com
          Reddit.com/r/NoFap
          Reddit.com/r/PornFree

App: rTribe.com (Talk about it with an anonymous social network, panic button that gets you someone to talk to and get your mind off it)

Podcast: PornFreeRadio.com. Don't need a podcast player to listen tho.

          Books:
Anything by Patrick Carnes. Facing the Shadow is what I started with.
Fortify, by the Fight the New Drug group
Some addiction recovery guide by LDS Family Services that I forget the name of

          Don't have Facebook.

Try reddit, accounts don't even need email address, it's absolutely anonymous. Just a username and a password. Send something to u/ImAnOvenmittPuppet. It's the only idea I have besides email

Man, I feel your pain. Recovering porn addict here.

Can we send private messages? I can help but I don't want to be too... public with the intimate details. But the first step is seeking help and acknowledging its an issue.

This book by Fortify can help. http://bookzz.org/dl/2590921/ef436e

Yes it's normal... for someone of your lifestyle. I'll admit I have this issue too.

You and I, we're porn addicts. You have it a bit more serious than me, but it's the same thing. Maybe it's not just porn but it's all the same thing to your brain chemistry.

Calm down. In multiple meanings. Relax, and try to keep your mind away from it. Stay busy. Ask yourself, do you want to change and why? Porn addiction and the like are usually started because of lack of social life, so try to connect with people. Not that kind of intimate, but talk with friends, join a community, find a pack, try to not be so much of a lone wolf. This is the hard part but it's where change happens. Also, having an accountability partner helps, that just means someone you talk to regularly to check in on, tell how you're doing.

I'd suggest getting help, rTribe.org is where I started. It's a social group for dealing with behavioral addictions. Also here's a free PDF of the one that really helped me start, Fortify. http://bookzz.org/dl/2590921/ef436e

Obviously you are weak if you let your primal urges control you. This makes you no much better than a baboon wanking himself off in a tree.
