Whenever I go swimming in the ocean, I hate going out far because of the fish. I don't mean like bigass sharks, I mean like goldfish or trouts. The freak me the hell out and, whenever I see them close to me I kick them away. (Just to clarify, I don't touch them when I kick, I meant more in the sense I splash at them)
You're safe. Goldfish and trout are fresh water fish. You won't find them in the ocean.
Okay...then don't go out far.
Why do you kick them, anyway? It's their home you're swimming in.
I think it’s called Ichthyophobia, or fear of fish. It’s a weird phobia but it’s a thing. Of course it’s normal.
I hope you get over it soon, I think you can help overcome the fear by trying not to scare away the fish and let them swim around you
I used to be obsessed with fishing lol. I see how you could be afraid even tho its obviously not a rational fear.
And one more tip : don't watch the show river monsters. Like ever. In the ever.
Yeah a friend of my is fish phobic. Never brought up why she is but you're not alone.
One time when she was feeling brave she got a bit closer to an aquarium in my house and my other friend came behind her and did the 'Saved your life!!!' thing... Yeah she cried.. we felt awful for quite a long time
I dunno if it’s normal, I used to know a few with some kind of fish phobia and I myself have some very weird unrational fears
So I guess if u have this without anything happening to u in the past it might just be there cuz it’s there
Even if you do scare them away by thrashing about, just remember that you're swimming in fish piss.
Yeah I'm not too keen on swimming with the fishes due to them being in their element and while i can swim if fish wanted to i would die pretty quickly. That's why i tap on the glass.
