It should also be noted that if you lose weight and are working out and building muscle, there will be a point where you will gain weight even though you're working out. The reason being for this is that muscle is denser and heavier that fat. So if you're losing weight and you start to level off and neither gain or lose weight, then it means that your body has gotten used to what you're doing and should change it up a little bit.
BMI calculators aren't very accurate if all you do is put in an age/height/weight because someone could be extremely muscular for their frame and the calculator could say they're obese. Best way to check is simply going to the doctors and having them test you.
And losing weight may/may not give you a boost in self-esteem. I feel you get a good boost of self-esteem by finding something you're good at, whether it be cooking for others, sewing, knitting, programming, cheering others up, tutoring someone, etc.
And as others have said, love knows no bounds. You can definitely find someone who'll love you they way you are now. And if you still feel the need to lose weight for yourself, I'm sure they'd help encourage you and support you through it and will love you regardless of whether or not you reach your goal or not.
I'm not saying you'd have to be ripped. Even if you have fatty parts, it doesn't mean that you're not building muscle. So people have lots of muscle underneath a layer of fat.
I'm fat. Do a deserve loving boyfriend?

You would have to be insanely muscular for a BMI calculator to say your obese and if you were that muscular you would know the calculator was off.
