I've been deeply in love for many years 5+ with someone who I have never dated, there is a very akward tension between us two, I don't know how to talk to him, are there signs to look for to see if he's gay or not? I don't want to ask and annoy him or get on his nerves

    ^ What's wrong with love at first sight? It's the start of relationships.
    I believe you should just start with a simple "hello", and a "how are you doing?" Eventually the conversion should get somewhere! If his repy is just an "alright, you?" Then tell him what's on your mind! Well, I would suggest that if you don't want an awkard silence to follow :P
    Just try to get to know him first and sooner or later you'll get to hear his preference (you'll probably end up having to ask though).
    Wait for a confession, don't confess. But make sure to give hints that you like him and are a damsel in distress!~

      It's lust at first sight; not love. Lust is the physical attraction and love is when you know for sure you want to be with them.

        If she wonders if he is interested in men or not, then I don't quite think "lust" is the word to describe this situation. This has been going on for 5 years. If it were "lust" then these feelings would have faded.

    It's not love; it's called lust! You people and believing in love at first sight and not even getting to know them. Shame. lol

    But just go talk to them. Once you start talking to them and get to know them more; the more you'll be comfortable around them.
