I'm bored of / annoyed by my best friend

My friend and I got really close over the past year because her old best friend basically dumped her and now they can't stand each other. We have a lot of fun together and call each other best friends, but sometimes I just can't stand her. She always complains about her old best friend and is a total racist! I used to be able to deal with her flaws, but now that we're closer and see each other more than ever, I can't stand them. I used to openly call her out and tell her to stop when she complained too much or was being racist, but she took it as a joke, so I stopped. Now I just listen and suffer through whatever she says, and I am getting really annoyed. She's my closest friend, I have a lot of fun with her, and I don't want to lose her, but I wish she would be less annoying!

    This is definitely normal. I literally just had this situation with my best friend a couple weeks ago. If you want to keep her as a friend, then you should talk to her about why her racist comments bother you. Express all of your feelings, and ask her to please understand. Try to explain why it bothers you when she complains about her old friend. Hopefully, she will understand your reasonings, and try to change. I hope this helped. :)

    OMG YES ITS NORMAL I've been waiting for someone to say that! There is this girl who used to be my best friend! I kinda got bored of her and stopped calling her and asking her to hang out!

    wowowowowow!! i was in this exact situation last year(except my best friend wasnt a racist she was just super annoying!!) but i told her to stop being annoying and stoped hanging out with her. i recently missed her so i appoligized and now were still friend but deffinatly not aas close and i truely like it that way..

    Yes it's normal to not be able to stand your best friend at Times but not normal for her being a racist
