It depends. In North America, it's seen as offensive but in the rest of the world, it isn't. If you live in North America you could always say Eastern or Far Eastern, because that's effectively what it means. Or you could narrow it to the country of your birth, i.e. Chinese.
I'm from the rest of the world and I personally like the word oriental as an adjective for food, style, geography or people. To me, it reminds me of all the things which are good. I think it's a very positive thing that someone would refer to themselves as oriental.
