If I was gay, my dad would probably kill me with a knife, so being afraid of that seems reasonable, but, have there been clues to them that you may be? Because...I haven't met a gay person in my life that wasn't obviously, definitely gay, or at least, probably gay, in stance, things they say, how they walk etc.
Or possibly they are "wishfully thinking" you might just be a "quirky" or whatever. Not that I know if you have quirks or not. You could act completely straight for all I know. And now I feel like I'm just digging a big homophobic hole for myself...
