Animals are like Toblerone bars. You like them. You know they are great. You know what to expect. You know they will never leave a bad aftertaste no matter what. There is a unique comfort in having them because they are a safe choice.
People are like an expensive box of assorted dark chocolates. Chances are you might get one piece with such a rich creamy center, and that tastes so amazing it beats the Toblerone bar by MILES, something Toblerone can never come close to. But you might also end up eating one that has such a disgusting gooey center, or with such a bitter aftertaste you'd want to throw the entire box away. But if you throw the box away you are only making the taste of the bad chocolate linger on your tongue. It would be the last thing you ever tasted. And what's the best way to neutralize the bad taste? Trying another piece from the box.
Sigh. All this chocolate talk really makes me want one. In due time. It's still early in the day and I don't want to spoil my eating routine again.
I love my dog. I love dogs. I love horses. I don't like people. IIN?
