  • I agree with JoeyAnne .. you should respect your parents..

And considering an advice a married woman gave me (I'm 19 btw).. your parents know what's better for you; when they say he's not the one for you, they mean it. They are your parents, they want you to be happy and they don't want to give you away to someone who would bring you troubles later on. Maybe they saw something in that guy that you can't see? It's totally normal cause you're in love with him. Plus something that I Truly believe in. They were here first.. they experienced this life before you and they know alot more than you do. (I found it hard at first cause I thought that my situation is always different, but it's all the same story)

It saddens me cos I let go someone I truly loved but I left him cause it would have never worked out in the end cause my father hates Pakistanis (Although he was such a good guy). But, it wasn't just that the reason.. But, anyway my father's opinion pushed me to let go of it. And I discovered later.. like after 2 years of the break up.. that that guy was never good for me.. But, I still love him anyway. But being crazy about someone doesn't mean that you have to be with him. Another story a married woman told me .. that her sister was so in love with a guy .. her parents did not agree.. and she insisted on him and refused any other. She got married to the one she loves.. And then they got divorced after 2 years of marriage. It's only an example.. But, there are those who could be married till the end of their lives.

All what I'm saying.. Listen to your parents.
