Yes, the Baikal and Amazon are amazing, but their volume isn’t much compared overall to the Guraní.

We all know of the Great Lakes,but did you know Florida’s aquifer system can hold 2,000,000,000,000,000 gallons of water. Yes, thats not as much as Superior, but it deserves more respect.

And underneath the Outback is the freshwater ocean: The Great Artesian Basin.

    Are you aware that the Great Artesian Basin in Australia has been seriously depleted by uranium mining? The SA state government allows the Roxby Uranium Mine to take millions of litres of water for a tiny fee and this has been affecting springs in the outback for decades.

    We also have a severe problem in Australia at the moment because (chinese owned) cotton and rice farmers have been taking so much water out of the Murray Darling System that millions of fish have died.

      Damn China!

      I knew there was some concern with mining, but it also covers such a large area so it couldn’t have entirely been affected.

        I can assure you that large areas HAVE been affected and it won't stay anything like a large area if it continues to be depleted to make mining companies even richer.
