  • I look in the mirror like non-stop. Sometimes I dance in front of it, or I talk to myself in the mirror.

  • i look in the mirror often because i love looking at my awesomeness.

  • I stare into the mirror and marvel at how super fucking awesome I am

  • That sounds normal to me, I look in the mirror most when I'm either self conscious or proud of my looks (though never in public mirrors.)

  • i do the same, i always flex in mirrors or any reflection because i am proud of my body. but females think i am conceited or something. i'm not, just proud of my body.

  • its normal
i cant walk by a mirror without looking at myself either

  • tbh, it is kinda human nature to look in every mirror you walk past, everybody I know does it, you really don't need to worry about how you look though, nobody notices your faults half as much as you do.

  • OMG I thought I was the only one who did that! I always look in the mirror whenever I walk by it and sometimes I think my hair looks bad or I'm just ugly or something. Sometimes I try to avoid mirrors!

  • To gauge your appeal to the opposite sex, do you notice them looking at YOU?

    It's that simple!

  • i do too cuz im scared i look bad

  • Actually, anytime I look at a mirror I want to see if something is on my clothes. I never look just because I'm vain, and I hardly look in any mirrors, considering I don't wear make-up. You're just vain like many girls in the world, just as long that you have a heart, you're fine.

  • I stare at the mirror thinking, mirror mirror on the wall, who is the prettiest of them all?

  • It's hard not to look in a mirror when you see one. How else do you notice there is a mirror?

But vanity is ugly, this is why you get sucked into the cycle of self-conscious staring. You think you look ugly-you are. Can't hide from the mirror.

but don't let it take over u.. u have to be happy with the way u look, and not care wat ppl think,, im really working on that..and its way better to just accept yourself and not have to worry

  • haha.. My Best Friend always does this!! I keep joking about it alot cause I find it too weird!! But yeah she likes how she looks like.. and her reason is that maybe she'd meet her prince lol

  • yeah i mean it's normal i guess but i wouldn't really do it in front of people because they will think you are vain. whether you are or not, it doesn't matter, you will look conceited.

  • I do it when I'm dressed up because I know I look good. It gives me a quick boost of confidence. When I know I look bad I try to avoid it, but yeah I do it alot. It drives me crazy if there is a big mirror in a room that I'm sitting in. I'll keep glancing in it without realizing it.

  • I have had this problem as well since just before puberty. I have some excuse, as I had an abnormal amount of oil and puss pimple and blackhead pushing at my pores and my skin is tight, so that it caused me discomfort and I would spend a lot of time pushing blackheads and pimples. But I also stared at myself admiring myself, looked at myself in shop windows etc. I felt vain and narcissistic and I was judged by people around me as such, but it was a compulsion. I am older now and I don't look in the mirror as much and it gives me better control over my environment not to be distracted by myself. That's why it's taboo in the first place. It's unproductive. I also have weeks here and there where I fall into my old habit (I also try to figure out my ethnicity, since I don't know it 100%%) and I find it is best just to look and look at yourself in public as well and forget the shame. Maybe your mother neglected you as an infant or something. It's who you are now, might as well accept it.

  • I do the same, everyone does that dont worry.

  • Omg! Like an exact replica of my problem!

Seriously, I don't believe that this is part of human nature because we are going over the line. I honestly don't believe that I'm good looking and I'm always looking in the mirror to see if my bangs are alright or if my makeup looks natural (because I use it to conceal my birthmark). What I attempt to do to stop this horrible habit is....
    1) When I wake up to go to the washroom in the morning, I don't turn on the lights. Otherwise I'll clearly see all my imperfections and stare forever.
    2) I don't even look in the mirrors at the malls because I'm afraid of seeing what I really look like.
3)Wear a headband to keep your hair in tact. That way, you won't have to always fix it. Just get a simple white or black one if you want, or if you want to go for fancy, go to an accessory store in the bigger malls.

  • Sounds like your vain =/ but I have the same problem but I came to terms that I'm conceited.
