      • WOW... you really need to educate yourself on exercise. When you "work out"... well, it isn't only to lose weight (fat)... it may be to gain muscle (which is what you need)... or it may be for physical therapy... or just to maintain a certain body weight and/or physical fitness level.

I'm 5ft 6in, and I weight 130. I exercise: Lift weights (low weight-high reps), I run (2 miles, twice a week), and I hike, and swim. Living an active lifestyle keeps my body looking and feeling great!

You need to eat healthy (consult a doctor), work out (consult a fitness trainer) - and get a rock hard, lean, healthy body. Don't just change your diet and expect to gain weight, because it could be fat weight - you need muscle so you're height/weight proportionate (you're close to it anyway).

          • NO. I didn't mention "burning calories". Everyone burns calories - all the time (even when we sleep), and you might always appear skinny. However, if you have a firm, fit, hard body from proper diet and exercise, then you'll look and feel good. I'll keep this simple.

You need to be on a muscle building diet and exercise plan in order to gain and maintain a healthy height-weight proportionate body.
