I live in the south. Is it wrong for me to hate barbeque and ham?

  • Mom used to tell me these long tales about all of her relatives getting together and always talking(never listening to each other finish each others sentences) and just talk and talk. At the very end everyone would rush into the kitchen for giant buttermilk bisquits and etc. Mom said they were the nicest southerners you'd ever meet and never questioned why she didn't eat fried chicken. They were always asking why mom didn't eat more pie. Lol. I wish I could have met my Aunt. Ray. Mom said she was a amazing cook and made these giant cinnamon rolls dripping with butter. She was always careful about her weight because she was a weight watcher but boy were they good the way she described them. My mom still calls my Aunt Ima and they talk forever about different things. When you go lookin for a bite to eat it was always in the 'fridgedair."
