I listen to rock, i find emo boys hot, i draw dark things..am i emo?

Recently i have noticed most of my hobbies and interests are quite erm, well what i think might be emo, but not too sure:/ i am not an emo and never really considered being one, just one of my friends mentioned that i liked quite emo stuff and well i questioned it.. I listen to rock, i like to be different, i have dark eye make up, i recently dyed my hair orange, i don't cut - i considered it one time and haven't thought about it since, i love to draw and when i do all of my drawings are dark and sort of secretive..:/ none of my friends are emo and I'm not doing this to fit into a crowd or anything, just genuinely curious..so i am a little confused any help?

      society makes you think you have to put a label on everything, and judge people based on that. why can't you just be yourself without worrying about that.

    I am the same way, but I am not emo, nor do I classify myself as anything else. I hate labels. I think you can be who you are and enjoy the things you enjoy without being labeled. No offense, but to me, labels are a little immature. Once you graduate high school, and you've come out of that "trying to find a place where I fit in" stage, you start to realize you are who you are and your interest do not put you underneath a catagory. I guess if you wanted to cal me emo, goth, punk, whatever, you can, but I would never label myself. I'm just...me.

    GAHHHSDIFBWEIFBEW. Just be yourself, and call yourself the name your parents gifted you with. No one cares if you're "emo" or "preppy" or any other fucking name that has no weight in modern society. It's sad that kids degrade themselves and try to fit a mold that wasn't designed for them. Everyone's different, and enjoys different activities and forms of self-expression.

    Save yourself the grief and stop giving a fuck about what other people think. Then you'll be happy and have friends who like you, for you.

    End rant.

    I don't know what emo is. Someone called me that in high school from their car. It was an insult. At least I took it as such. I see it the same as making fun of someone with a disability. "Ha! You have to be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life!" That's basically how I took it. It's like an acceptable way of being an asshole. Thank you for reminding me of my already constant suffering. Emo should be taken off the stereotype list.

        Emo men look very much like women, their apparel, the weird make-up usage, even the hair. Maybe you're not bi-curious, maybe you just like prissy/metreosexual men...not sure...most emo men although that I have met are bi-sexual...maybe you're a faghag...*shrugs* many possibilities.

    Be who you want! I am sort of emo. I want to full on be emo...no i am not a poser.... but if you want to go for it! But just make sure it is what you want. It takes a while to get use to the new you. I thought of cutting and i cry about not being accepted by my family but it is what i want!Oh and i recommend for you to ,listen to Black Veil Brides! Stay true to yourself!

    Dark things is more goth. As for emo, you arent emo unless you listen to the music. All emo basically is is not being afraid to show emotions, and listening to emo music. Cutting or any of that wonk dosent have to do with it.
