As long as it's not directed at me, I find it entertaining and agree with them most of the time. I personally don't complain that much but I hate when someone turns against me, when I do. It feels like a betrayal.
It's highly likely that people who bitch and moan to you about others will be saying similar shit about you behind your back.
Life's too short to waste it hanging out with negative, toxic people.
To clarify, I don't tolerate gossip or things being said about people I know (I wouldn't be friends with this kind of person).

I have have family members like that and the are a set of miserable tossers if it makes people feel better to bitch about others then let them, eventually life will become very solitary for them
