There’s this guy that I play an online game with. In the game we are partners so we tend to spend a lot of time together. We both said we don’t want anything serious in this game and we’re not looking to date. But recently I’ve found that I’m starting to get jealous badly when he talks with other girls and plays with them. And it’s caused me to avoid him and the game completely sometimes, but I liked how things were before when I didn’t like him. I didn’t care about what he did and it was more fun.I’ve never even seen what he looks like and don’t even know his real name..I know it’s weird. And I’m still not wanting a relationship or anything, so how do I get rid of those feelings. Just wanna play normal and have fun like I did before with him.

I don't really think there is really anything you can do to get rid of those feelings. I used to play a game called SecondLife pretty regularly and in that game I would grow attached to some people and start to develop feelings. I never really got over the feelings, but I just kind of accepted the fact that I would stay friends with those people.

It really depends on how you want to handle the situation.

    If you think that is the right thing to do, go ahead. Just think about it though. If you really enjoy playing the game don't let this one thing ruin it for you. If you really are going to just stop talking to the guy you like I suggest finding new friends in the game. Block the guy and forget about it if you think that's necessary.
    
    Don't rush into this decision though. I've played video games for most of my life and some of my closest and longest lasting friendships were with people I've only ever met online.

I know people who have met in a game and started dating real life.
My own son is one. I also work with a guy who met his fiance on a game.

Why not give things a go? If you two live reasonably close, like a couple hundred miles, all the better.

Of course maybe skype, webcam, or face-time or whatever kids do wen they want to see a person's actual face.
That way you know it isn't Allah Snackbar from Iran.

  I don’t wanna do long distance it’s to painful he lives in a whole different country. Besides he won’t even tell me his name. I’ve asked what he looks like and he straight changed the subject. But he’s seen me and has my fb and everything. Goshhhhhh

    Hello, you are a woman. Women are better detectives than the cia. In my experience you can hide nothing from a woman. If you want to find out about him use one of those sites like beenverified. Or truthseeker. It's only like $1 and you could definitely get his fb from his gamertag or user Id from the game you play.

      His name in the game is the exact as his fb profile he made it specifically for gaming. All his friends are private, and anything he comments he deletes it shortly after. He won’t even tell me his real name. How do you find someone with nothing to run with? No name, no photo, no friends list. There’s literally nothing to go from.

        With truthseeker and beenverified you start with his gamertag and it will get you everything linked to that line email facebook kik cell number things like that. Now if none of those has a real name attached to is it can get you numbers email credit history criminal records ascociated with the accounts with aliases. So even if he has several lines of identifying defense with enough digging, eventually you will hit some form of identification.the internet is no longer anonymous. At some point he had to have used valid info to create accounts.

        Update: I tried that site and nothing came up. Not even the game that he uses the email for on the site. At this point I’ve just given up. My friend said I should just respect his privacy and continue being his friend and he might show himself. But it’s been 5months now still no name no photo. I should also mention now, that we are kind of dating but without a title. Neither one of ur had bluntly said we’re dating each other but we act like it. But it’s eating me alive, we talk everyday and every night but he won’t tell me his real name or show me what he looks like after all this damn time.

I think you should just stick with hanging out with him, I use to hang out with guys who I use to like, and didn't want to be in a relationship, also some guys I kept my feelings inside because it is best for both of us to just be friends.

  But how do you do that? Hiding feelings? I get jealous but won’t say it but my mood will get sour and he’ll say I’m acting like a robot. But I can’t shake those feelings away so easy.
