I am like that too. I don't use my real name or rather full name and surname on all my social media accounts, it might seem dodgy or paranoid like. I have nothing to hide but even though I am always scrolling through my various social media accounts I like keeping certain degrees of separation between real life and online.

I like your degrees of separation part. Since I myself generally prefer not mixing some social circles. Probably not normal/common but works for me
