I feel the same way. I force myself to actually do stuff because I can't expect other people to support me, but in my gut I feel that society doesn't really deserve my effort, my ambition, my innovation. I haven't been treated well, and I don't really want to reward anyone for wanting to take advantage of me.
So everyone who thinks I should be a go-getter, who thinks I should build my little piece onto their empire, everyone who thinks I should be an obedient little cog in their money-making machine, can go STICK it.
I'll do what I have to do, when I have to do it. The rest of my time is MINE.
