Everyone lies when they feel under pressure; although you shouldn't have pretended to have as I she is your friend - she would have understood.
Peer pressure gets to everyone eventually and its completely normal to give in.
I am sure you don't actually have to come out and tell her....but I think you should. I dont think it would change your friendship at all...
