Ahh you're probably so right. And classifying them as nosy justifies the white lying. And it probably makes you insanely funny to people you open up to
But what about people who are trying to get better with social communication? I probably seem nosy sometimes, but I struggle with figuring out what to say sometimes and sometimes I know I say something wrong, but some people are gracious enough to go along with it, oh maybe that's lying
If you have anything you've always wanted to say to someone like that, tell me. I'm kinda curious how I'd feel
I’ve recently worked with a covering colleague who asked a lot of questions and the only two I thought were too far were her asking specifically where I live (I told her the town and she wanted more detail) and asking when I thought I would get married (I’m not engaged or even in a relationship). As long as it doesn’t go into “deep questions” or “personal information” I don’t mind it, basically avoid topics you would only discuss with a close friend or that could be seen as judgemental (like when someone thinks they will get married, I don’t think she meant it that way but it still felt weird).
I lie to nosy people
