I leaned my shoulder against my friend's shoulder on purpose

He's my best friend and we've been separated for so long until recently we met again last month.

We went to the movie theater to watch Godzilla. As we sat next to each other, I leaned my right shoulder against his left shoulder's on purpose because I missed him so much. I was so glad he didn't move his shoulder at all while I was doing so.

It was comfortable, therapeutic and I felt a surge of emotion that was truly longing for him when I did that while watching Godzilla and co. destroyed the hell out of the city.

It makes me sad that today's society is such that men have to feel like they're abnormal for seeking human touch/contact from someone they care about. Touch is so important for health - mental and physical.

    • I agree that it's sad. It makes me insecure to express emotion around people as a guy because of this reason. I would have hugged him so hard instead because I missed my friendship with him so much but I was afraid if people around including him would judge me as a weakling for doing that just because I am a guy. I also got told before I was not allowed to cry just because I am a guy. It sucks.

        I'm sorry :(

Ugh it makes me sick. This is part of why suicide is so high for men. And anger issues and...blergh. So gross and unfair.

    So how was the movie?

As a long time Godzilla fan im always scared to see new ones cause they make him with no personality, just roar roar angry lizard boy

    • That actually was the first time I watched Godzilla so I've no idea about its previous movies. He did roar a lot though and I can see Mothra had the hots for Godzilla. Also, King Ghidorah was strong as fuck.

Well mainly im asking if Godzilla and the other monster showed signs of a personality.

Because since the 80’s and 90’s all of the movies removed his personality and just made him angry lizard

Which is a disservice to something with nearly 70 years of history and lore.

Also it seemed like you had a good time, so thats good

Sorry I brought that up, but I love those memes. And you making a very simple and obvious thing sound complex made me think of that.

My favorite thing is hugging a woman. I hug all of them and they hug back. Always improves my day

Does every act of affection have to be interpreted as having romantic/sexual aspirations behind it these days?

I want to make intimate friendships a thing again.
