  • One positive thing: you've recognised that you're self-sabotaging, even if you haven't yet figured out how to stop yourself doing this.

I don't know if you have some sort of clinically-recognised psychological disorder, but I suspect not. I think it's more likely you're just immature, and reluctant to accept the reality that instant gratification sometimes results in undesirable long-term consequences. Some people live a lifetime without grasping this point, but you're at least starting to understand it.

So, you have a problem with finishing high school, and it sounds like those in power aren't going to roll over and make life consequence-free for you. You can either sit around and mope about how unfair life is and what a pathetic shithead loser you are, or you can try to figure out how to address the problem.

It sounds like you live in the USA. Are you sure your college of choice requires you to finish high school? Can you get into college on a GED or its equivalent? Do you even need to do any testing other than SAT?

This article says that there are quite a few colleges which don't care if their students have a high school diploma: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/30/education/30dropouts.html

However, given your problems in high school, why do you believe that you're going to be able to buckle down and work when you're attending college?
