I just want to drive away to nowhere and never look back?

I often get this feeling where I just want to run away. To just drive away and never look back, doesn't matter where I'm going. I feel like my life is driving me insane, and I'll do anything to escape. Is this normal?

Is It Normal?

  • If I live long enough to retire, that'll be one of the first things I do.

  • Why drive Or run? Walking would be greatly more relaxing, therapeutic even.

You could run away, but stress isn't in the home. Stress is a part of you. Not to say running away wouldn't help, just that you don't actually have to run away to leave your stress. You associate a lot of physical things to your stress naturally, it's our body identifying what is Triggering our stress. Stress like you sometimes have is a form of phsychological allergy, and like an allergy, if you start sneezing every time you touch a strawberry, it's natural that you not want to be near strawberrys.

Also true, it's stupid to think that surrounding yourself in strawberrys will make you be less allergic. Likewise, if your stress comes from say, your job, your job would be the allergy, so focusing more on work to try and adapt to the stress is like drinking poison to become immune to it. But the problem is that you obviously can't escape something like work.

Here is what you do. Find out exactly the things you're unhappy with. Exactly what they are. For example, if it's your job, what about your job, and if it's your boss, what about your boss. Don't make excuses about why you can't do anything about it, if you need a raise, ask for one, if they say no, ask how you can get one, if they say you can't, find another source of income, if you don't have time, make time. You see where I'm going with this :) best of luck to you.
