    Used to love getting high and watching his painting shows when I skipped school back in the day. He has a gallery in New Smyrna Beach, Fl next door to a restaurant I frequent.

    You probably already know but Netflix is his new home complete with squirrel friends and loads of happy accidents. RIP Bob. Hopefully Steve is doing well. He seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth.

    he caught leukemia from slapping his brush full of paint thinner against his easel. you might say Bob Ross had painting "in his blood"

      Death was caused by lymphoma not leukemia. Your post does have some truth to it though. It was most likely caused by excessive exposure to paint thinner. He did always say that cleaning the brush was his favorite part...

        yep his blood cancer originated in lymph nodes and not bone marrow. making it in fact Lymphoma Lymphoma is the name for a group of blood cancers that develop in the lymphatic system. The ... he died before the internet i just heard it was a blood cancer and well fuck i said leukemia meaning lots of white cells in the blood. i used to watch him flip that paint thinner all over the place and said that shit will kill him someday. i hope i wasnt casting a spell on him , he seemed like a happy fella that enjoyed painting. also he was air force and i could relate to that . besides on sunday morning there wasnt jack shit on to watch so what the hell , i just decided to watch this guy blowing out his brain with paint thinner.
