It's normal. Guys usually don't do this stuff like women do though, so I suspect you must have already been sad over something. For example, if you watched a movie where an elderly person died and it made you think of a grandparent you lost, the emotional reaction would be understandably triggered.

I feel tears coming on during some movies/books because of that sometimes. I then quickly smother those feelings in a blanket of rejection.
