I judge books by their cover

Ive noticed that i pick out the books i think the title is good enough to read.. i know im wasting time also because im not searching for one specific book so this maninly makes me revert to educational books instead(even tho i am genuinely intrested in them, i’d like to be a better book picker)
How do ya’ll do it?
For sci fi, etc.

I judge books by the Table of Contents. I'll read the first page to confirm my impression.

Lots of people do this, which is why publishers have departments responsible for cover design and blurb-writing.

Judging a book by its cover is illogical and often leads to disappointment, but humans are wired to make snap judgements based on appearances.

It is some old 80's pop song. In one line he says 'if you judge a book by the cover, then you judge the look by the lover."

No idea what the heck THAT means but anyways...

They make the cover to appeal to certain people. I once had a literature teacher teach us that we actually should pick books by the covers

You still read books??? Is your house lit by lanterns also? Do you hunt and gather in the back yard for food?

You still read books to? How old are you mate? None of me and my compadres read books in america, everything is online. What country are you from?
Might be different for you in your situation, but based on mine, I was surprised someome even reads books. The rest was a joke...duh!

I suppose, but a book is a physical thing made out of paper that you read, at least in my book!
