I jerk up when my friend sneaks behind me and tries to hug me while i sleep

idk if it's because of nightmares but if i lay on my side my friend walks up behind me as i sleep and he holds out his arms and gets closer by second i jerk up with my heart pounding thinking he's the things in my nightmares how do i stop this
