I it normal i like trump

President Trump. God emperor or devil in disguise? Policy wise is he a good leader or does he lack the necessary qualities of a president?

Personally I think he’s a good president that talks a bit more than necessary but other than that he makes good decisions.

When discussing please use facts and other pieces of information to base judgements. Emotional judgements should be just restrained to character. As I hope people can change one another’s mind using reasoning and evidence.

He’s a good president and a good person. 14
He can be a better president. 8
He’s a good president but I dislike him personally. 14
Neutral or I don’t care 9
He’s a bad president but I Don’t hate him personally. 3
He’s a bad president in general. 6
He’s a bad president and he’s a bad person. 40

If people aren't willing to accept things that have been repeatedly proven by many, many professionals in the field then they're not being responsible human beings. Opinions cannot be substituted in place of proven facts. Climate change has been proven, and I don't understand why so many people stubbornly hang onto denial.

It has not been proven. If scientific data shows something about change in average global temperature is that it is controlled mostly my the sea and that the earth is actually in the beginning of a new ice age.
Just because "they" say something has been proven does not mean it has. Search what the global warming denier scientists have said and you will start to understand why this topic is such a hot discussion. Don't be fooled, science is not that "pure intellectual research for knowledge" that "they" teach us

That's it. They don't even know what his plans are and according to them anyone who voices their opinion and shouts crap is a proper candidate.

Then again America is a shithole so no surprise there.

Actions speaks louder than words, the egocentric bitch wants every country in the world to bow to him and kiss his ass. Don't see that happening any time soon(sounds alot like the antichrist to me). If he wants the wall so bad and congress won't give him the money to build it. why don't he put the money out of his own poket and stop throwing a fit about it like a little 3 or 4 yo and start acting his age. I think that spoiled brat need a good whooping. Not our falt if congress won't let him have the fonds yet we're the ones suffering from the government shut down.

He's a good president. He gets things done with no nonsense.

The problem is, on a personal level, he is one of, if not *the* most narcissistic shithouse people to have ever sat in the White House.

His "Mexicans will pay for my idea which they didn't even want" and "grab her by the pussy" speeches were testament to just how much of a cunt of a person he really is. Not to mention the amount of times he's cheated on his wife with some high-end pornstar/hooker...

Amazes me he has a wife, to be quite honest.

Trump is a bad person and a bad president. He campaigned on draining the swamp. He is the swamp. He’s corrupt. He’s likely going to be indicted for campaign finance laws violations. It will likely happen after he’s out of office. He’s gives weapons to Saudi Arabia for their genocide in Yemen. Trump tax cuts help the rich and screw regular people. During his campaign he said. “ we need to take our their families” referring to killing the families of terrorists. Cause it’s not terrorism when we are doing it. These are just some of the things he’s done. Also Hilary is a horrible person and would have been a bad president too.

    Bad pres/Bad person.

Number one on my mind is the petty shutdown of the government because he wants an obscene amount of money for a useless ecological disaster. I do believe that immigration reform is a thing that needs to happen, but if that much money has to be spent on it, I would rather the bureaucratic process be looked at/smoothed out than a useless hunk of junk be built that will irreparably damage the surrounding ecosystem.

He didn't attend the centennial remembrance day ceremony. Why? Because of a little bit of rain. That's extremely disrespectful, as was his absence from the Arlington service. The people being remembered laid down their lives and Trump couldn't do the bare minimum because he would be inconvenienced.

A short list of other reasons I dislike him include his denial of climate change, how he refused to outright condemn the neo nazis in Charlottesville, the instability of his government staff (seriously, I've lost count of the people he's fired/resigned), his many outbursts on Twitter (which get deleted. That sort of flipflop is unprofessional at best - the President of a country should damn well be smart enough to think before they hit the send button). I could probably keep going, but I did say a short list.

Incorrect hunch. You have no basis for that. If there was a clear aim you would have summed it up here in a few words in an epic take down instead of discrediting my personal views, which I am allowed to hold. You haven't done this because there simply isn't one. It was aimless protesting about nothing in particular.

          Comment Hidden ( show )
            -
          • candylady

The basis for my hunch is your own words, which you’ve repeated here. The aim of the march is very easy to find. Google exists, the women’s march has an official website, even their Wikipedia page has quotes about their goal in the first paragraph. It’s not my job to do your homework for you. The fact that you don’t believe in the existence of something that’s so easy to find was my basis.

You are allowed to hold your own personal views, but not your own personal facts. If you want to have the personal view that their goals are unimportant or unworthy of a march, you have that right, just as anybody else is allowed to vehemently disagree with your personal views and judge you for your them. However, your claim that they have no purpose at all is objectively false and you discredit yourself by saying that.

you can still make a pretty fair assessment on someone’s character by the image they put out to the world, even without knowing them personally, their is no shortage of trumps thoughts and ideas available for you to research and assess. It’s not as deep as a personal bond judgment of character of course, but to play this artificially virtuous role of saying that I cannot or are “hesitant” to judge him apon any part of his character because you don’t know him personally seems flat IMO.

      Comment Hidden ( show )

I don't think he's a good person purely on the basis that I would hate to have a conversation with him. But that's just my personal view, I get why some people would like him and I think it's weird that no one is allowed to express that opinion publicly without being metaphorically crucified and accused of terrible things.

I definitely agree that he's a good president.looking at economic growth and unemployment rates you can't really deny that, and it's strange that people do. What fucking more do you want from a president, nobody is perfect and he's doing everything that he promised to very effectively.

I think it's weird that in any other context it's perfectly normal and expected that people are judged by the company they keep, but Trump supporters are apparently supposed to be immune to this, and I think It's strange that people credit Trump for the fact that Obama's policies continued to improve the economy and unemployment rate just like they'd done for years under Obama until Trump was able to implement his own policies, at which point both stagnated.

I can't speak for whoever downvoted it, but I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that the vast majority of people have already made up their mind about Trump and there's unlikely to be any "learning" here. Just a whole bunch of people dismissing others with a "bet you religiously watch CNN not come to your own conclusions" because they tell you something Fox News doesn't. You can be as pedantic as you want about the exact wording, but the meaning of what Trump said about Mexicans is still the same. Especially when you compare it to his "fine people" and "both sides" or "many sides" comments about the white supremacist attacks in Charlottesville.
