I haven't slept for 3 years?

Hi i haven't sleept for 3 years i don't know if this is normal or not? Obviously I occasionally catch myself falling asleep but quickly I distract myself awake. First I had stayed awake for 200 hours and that was 3 years ago. I became addicted to the drowsy intoxicated feeling of sleep depravation and realised that if I never sleep I can get everything done and this fear of wasting my life, i mean how many years of your life do you waste sleeping? Apart from very occasional accidental micro sleep that is very fleeting, I haven't slept for 3 consecutive years at all. I cannot remember the last time I had a dream. My brain functions perfectly normal but now I've grown used to the feeling. I can't sleep even if I wanted to. It's both a blessing and a torture. I can achieve so much more than the average person experiencing all of it, but at the cost of my sanity and health?

Sleep deprivation screws up your brain and the normal functioning of your digestive, cardiovascular and endocrine systems. It's generally accepted that going without sleep for more than three days is very dangerous to your physical health and will result in hallucinations, paranoia and psychosis.

Maybe you are truly unique and the first human ever who can function perfectly well on virtually no sleep at all. But - assuming your OP isn't complete BS - I suspect it's more likely that your chronic sleep deprivation has resulted in a delusional belief that you're not sleeping at all. It seems plausible to me that your subconscious could have chosen to do that as a survival mechanism when your conscious mind decided to pursue this idiocy.

Whichever is the case, you should talk to a doctor about this if you'd prefer not to suffer long-term illness or die.

If this is real you should let a psychologist scan your brain and see how it’s being affected, that would be fascinating.

There is a disorder like that, but I think you're lying or something cause it's really rare and mostly in Africa as far as I remember

    Do you take naps?

Thomas Edison was known for working around the clock on projects for weeks on end.

He took something like a 10 minute nap every hour at the same time. That works out to 4 hours sleep a day, and is on the short end of the known normal sleep requirement for some people.

Whatever government you reside under would be particularly interested in you. For genetic experimentation.
