I have these massive mood swings, is this normal?

So I feel like I'm more than one person. Sometimes I'm super overconfident and fearless, I'm always happy and nothing can tear me down. I am also very hyper. Though sometimes I feel like a brick. Super heavy, tired all of the time, and depressed. I haven't run into anybody with the same problems. Is this normal?

  • If it's interfering in your life then go see a doctor, there's lots of things that can cause this. It's good to see a doctor first to rule out common physical causes, you don't want to get put on psych meds if you have something like thyroid or hormonal problems for example.

  • You're bipolar. You are experiencing maniac highs and depressive lows. You should see a psychiatrist to get the correct medications. I know because I was experiencing the same things all my life and recently found out it was due to being bipolar. The medication really helps.

    • There's a lot of both physical and mental conditions that can cause OP's symptoms. I have intense mood swings and I am most definitely NOT bippolar, I have an entirely different issue and it's one that you wouldn't suspect causes these symptoms. You can't diagnose somebody based on a couple sentences over the internet, even a trained psychologist or MD can't do that. OP needs to see a doctor, rule out physical causes and get referred to a psych if necessary.

        • Yeah, it can even be environmental. To say someone is definitely bipolar because they 'switch' is just stupid.

  • If you're a guy, get your blood work done and testosterone checked.

    • Hypocrite.

What was it you were saying about the "consult your doctor 'line'"?

      • 'Consult your doctor' doesn't mean anything. But recommending a possible problem and the method to check for it, is good advice. OP can look online at symptoms of low testosterone, and make their own judgement.

        • What an idiotic answer.

Why would I "dig" into your post history, even if I could?
