For long-term homeless drug addicts who refuse treatment and like to defecate on sidewalks, I really see no problem euthanizing them. If I saw this happening on the news, I honestly think I'd be okay with it.
The problem wasn't with all homeless people, just the ones that "defecate on sidewalks", do drugs and "refuse treatment" (for drug addiction I would guess).

Wait until you are one of them. You will learn to be more tolerant. You have no idea of their situations. Could be their boss ran off with the retirement accounts money, the boss or CEO may have filed for bankruptcy, maybe the company they worked for moved to Mexico or asia, leaving them with pretty much norhing. Do you have no tolerance for Disabled veterans ? How about Disabled Veterans that are homeless ? You by saying you have no tolerance are a shallow, self centered, and I think arrogant judgmental prick. The world around you is ok as long as you are happy, as long as you are getting lad, asking as YOU are getting 3 meals a day. Am I close to right ? And be honest. Do you think.people are homeless because they want to be ? They want to stand in line at soup kitchens and shelters ? I have been homeless. It's not one DAMN bit fun except wherever you are, you are home. I was homeless in Law Vegas and to my surprise I actually got kicked out of the desert. It's not by choice. Cut people some slack unless you know for fact they there by choice.
Addiction has no preference on who you are. If you stumbled into a hard core addiction, you might find yourself doing things you never thought you would.
Sometimes it really is decent people who fall into these pits of mental health problems. sometimes its even people like you. and sometimes people trench along through rock bottom awhile but later arise out of it back to normal citizens.
Im not against the idea of kicking homeless people out of certain areas.
But euthanizing is just naive and inhuman way to think about it.
Ive seen far too many innocent lifes fall and far too many terrible gross homeless people eventually pick themselves up by their boot straps and be well.
we are monkeys on a spinning rock in space, i don't like shit in the streets either and we should combat against that but we've done a pretty good job thus far if you think about where we all were a blink of cosmic time ago.
Also it is ture that you go to SOME other countries and they actually have restrooms around, In the states ( and some of Europe) everyone wants a buck before you take a piss. and arguably pissing and shitting is the most basic human condition to begin with, so my question is WHY THE FUCK do we not say hey we are going to have nice self cleaning toilets like they have all over in some countries? Oh thats right....because no one wants to spend money on basic human needs, things that will better society, they just want to create concrete jungles absent of any basic free human amities. You gotta go buy a cheese burger to shit here! why? because fuck people and hooray for greed!
And sure...are their just SOME absolute shit people who are homeless too? yes. But who goes around deciding who gets to die? who has no shot at redemption? who shall not be forgiven? who shall not be helped but instead killed? A slippery slope of nonsense your proposal, one that would lead to an Orwellian dystopia in no time. Better watch out and keep your nose to the grind because big brother government is watching and making judgments on whether you should die or not!

I see the complaint with them interfering with others and refusing treatment, but killing them is too far! How about forcing treatment on them like a homeless shelter? At least do something a little more humane about it.
Man there are so many reasons that people are homeless other than drug addiction. Plus many addicts are mentally ill or abused people who are more susceptible to drugs. Not everyone grew up in a perfect home with perfect mental health with a bright and easy to obtain future.
You have to be a troll because no one could be so stupid, or you are just a child maybe. Either way, stop judging people until you walk a mile in their shoes. Not everyone has entitlement like you.
What about if they were drug addicts, refused treatment because they wanted to keep doing drugs, but didn't steal to feed their habit, or shit on the sidewalk?
This is why it's a bonus to live in a northern state, the mentality I'll that refuse to take shelter just freeze to death. Problem solved, the ashes are put into a box and dropped at the next of kind door step.
Yea I don't know why ya gotta get so worked up and stamp ya feet. Just stay away from homeless fucks. I mean there is lots of places where you wont see any! Where I live I haven't run into a homeless/drug addict in over 5 years. But maybe you can't afford to live in a nice part of town, maybe you need to work harder, whinge less!
They need to be rehabilitated i think. Its weird to me that the most liberal cities that give the most handouts has the most homeless. You dont get much welfare in my city and we have no basically 0 homeless. I think we should do more to rehabilitate. Maybe give them a simple job and help build their social status. More job training and mental health even. No more handouts
