I think that you feel above honest work that would contribute to the costs of your own education is nothing to brag about. You are just being selfish and immature by putting that additional burden on your parents.
How could you possibly feel good about this type of cheezy conceit & arrogance? And what makes you think that your lack of a work ethic will not be relevant in the arts?
