I am multiple, I hear voices in my head, they are my inside people. Does anyone else experience this? I hear kids, and sometimes I hear mean voices telling me to do things to myself or to others. I fo alone. Anyone else having alters in their head, or writing emails to their therapist, or friends? If you do I'd like to be your friend!
Many people confuse multiple personalities (dissociative identity disorder) with schizophrenia.
This is because both conditions may cause hallucinations.
They are very different though and typically schizophrenic hallucinations come from outside the mind while multiple personality symptoms come from inside the mind and are of alters.
Its not normal to be mentally ill but it's normal for someone with these mental illnesses to hallucinate.
The best way to treat multiple personalities is to make sure the personalities can get along and either co-exist or merge together. I do not have the best opinion of the mental health system but I hope you have found good support.
Not sure if this is a true post but on the chance it isn't, then I would go see a doctor and tell him/her about it. If you haven't already done, that is.
Maybe you should see a doctor mate? Cause normally hearing voices (Especially telling you what to do) is a bad sign.
I'm not familiar with the multiple personality thing, but I can give you this advice: Ask for professional help.
Multiple Personality Disorder. Have you ever seen the film "Sybil"? It is based on the true story of a female who suffered so much trauma at the hands of her abusive mother as a child, that her mind ended up splitting in different personalities.
I am not multiple people, although I do change depending on the people I am currently idolizing but I hear voices. I hear radio frequencies also. Sometimes even music, like elevator music.
I haven't always heard these things but they started at a young age for me. Doctors told me I had schizophrenia.
I don't talk about it in real life, but it sucks and I have not %100 accepted it, because it has been going on for so long that it feels normal, I guess. I wouldn't say it's comfortable but it's better than disobeying. I am not good at being friends with people I don't know but, if you need to talk,we can do that.

i do but they aren't "alters" its some weird form of ocd but yeah i get the mind voices saying to do bad things, and i have some other thing they said it was just tinnitus but i can hear things like lots of kids and crowds talking when im trying to fall asleep and other things but i havent had either of those as bad now medicated, but i still have my intentional "alternate worlds" , also sure i'll be your friend.. if i can

You can't. A multiple only hears one voice and is one personality at a time. You may be schizophrenic.

Well,I dated a schizophrenic for 3 years and I myself hear voices,you're probably schizophrenic,but you can definitely deal with that. It's not as bad as made out to be.
Lots of people hear music in their heads. Some people call it "ear worms" cause you can't get some songs out of your head.

well there are a lot of children inside my head. they are different ages. and they are scared a lot of them are scared. they remember bad things, some are happy though and dont remember any thing bad. there are a few mean alters too, older ones i mean. thanks for talking to me <3
