  • Many medical Doctors admit that there may be benefits to certain old and ancient practices. They also know that a good number of drugs have been isolated from the ancient treatments - so they do not scoff at them; instead they tend to look for cleaner ways of using the good parts of the ancient treatment.

Some other Doctors deny that and only do what they were taught in medical school. I try to avoid those Drs.

For certain diseases bleeding people is a standard modern treatment. They call it phlebotomy. So its not as rare or unaccepted as you think. It's done routinely in every city in the USA.

The ancients had their own scientist which set the basics of modern science. As an example over 2000 years ago the Greeks calculated the size of the earth to within 5% of the modern measurement.

Also, Columbus used navigation instruments based on a round earth... (he got the money for his expidition from the Queen of Spain by convincing her that he had correctly calculated the diameter of the earth to be half of what everyone else said, and he could get to the West Indies faster by sailing eastward. He was not worried about falling off the edge of a flat ocean (The flat earth theory was invented afterwards by people writing the history of America to show how much a hero Columbus was).

You will find many many things in our modern world that are actually based on thousands of years old principals and science of that day.
