I have a high fever but feel fine?

Today I went to give a blood donation and they took my temp and it was 101, he asked if I feel okay or if I'm sick and told him I feel completely fine. He almost wouldn't let me donate, but it went down to like 99, he said it's still pretty high but I could donate, afterwards it went up again to around 101 but I still felt fine

    Average body temp is 98.6

A fever is considered to be around 100 F

So 101 definately sounded like a fever to whoever was taking your temp.

Maybe some people are different and can handle slightly higher body temps than other people.

its summertime , what can i say , some of use heat up drastically with normal muscle use . in fact some die at 108 degrees my normal body temp is 97 degrees, in fact the normal body temp has been adjusted down as measurements in the past were incorrect. Most people think a normal body temperature is an oral temperature (by mouth) of 98.6°F (37°C). ... Your normal temperature may actually be 1°F (0.6°C) or more above or below this. Also, your normal temperature changes by as much as 1°F (0.6°C) during the day, depending on how active you are and the time of day. you were allowed to donate but your blood will be deferred meaning it will never go into another human . it will be used for training, and research. not much else.
