holding any longer than 3 seconds isn't going to get you any higher, you're just going to get a different / more of a feeling at first due to the lack of oxygen. But, if you cough it out after 3-4 seconds, you will get higher. ( when i'm running low and need to savor my bud, i force myself to cough to get higher off less. *Tip* Cough into fabric like a rag or sock, so it doesn't hurt your lungs, it will also catch the smoke if you are trying to be inconspicuous)
